iOS 11 Beta Release and Update

Apple has released iOS 11 Beta 2 this month publicly. This means like the previous public Betas, this allows users who are not registered developers to test new iOS feature for free.

But as it is a Beta Version there are some warnings that users’ needs to know, As it is not fully optimized like any other pre-releases, Some issues that users most likely to face are: the apps might crash suddenly, Battery issues like charging may be slow or draining quickly and performance may not be what you expect because it may slow your device down.

Because it is a beta version, these issues are to be expected that is why beta release are for developers to test it out, develop and optimize their apps for the latest iOS. For installation check out how to install iOS 11 beta 3.

Supported Devices:

iPhones: iPhone 5s, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus.
iPad: 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2nd generation, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 1st generation, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 5th generation, iPad mini 4, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2.
iPod: iPod touch 6th Generation.

As iOS 11 Beta 2 is for Free and Public, iOS 11 Beta 3 is for registered developers only, They also released a special update “Update 1” for some devices to fix their DFU issues.
While iOS 11 Beta 3 have not much outstanding changes, there are still some enhancements and tweaks here and there with more stability and improved performance. Well, what do you expect? It still is Beta.

New Features in iOS 11 Beta 3 are:

  •          Refined 3D Touch interface for Camera app in Control Center.
  •          The Cover Sheet of Notification Center is Refined, a second upward gesture to see older             notification is removed.
  •          For iPad, the ‘x’ button interface of Beta 1 and Beta 2 is replaced with swipe interaction.
  •          Springboard responsiveness is improved while dragging and dropping.
  •          The UI for Safari 3D Touch has been tweaked.
  •          Content Blocker for Safari is now working again.
  •          iOS Assistant SIRI can now translate text for you and Beta 3 also supports transaltion                 request from English US to German, Italian, Chinese, French and Spanish.
  •          SIRI Voice for both genders in Chinese and Japanese has been upgraded.
  •          SIRI can even get directions when Do Not Disturb While Driving is enabled.
  •          iOS 11’s screen recording feature now has  a Start Broadcasting option.


Note! It is highly recommended that if you want to try and test the Beta version of iOS 11, then use a test device for it not your primary device and read about it properly before proceeding.
